Production Scheduler

We have a great position for a Production Scheduler in the Plymouth Area.

You will be required to schedule manufacturing processes to maximise company efficiencies and ensure that all works is completed within the due time.
To control paper stocks and ordering to ensure that materials are available to meet production requirements.

Key Tasks & Main Duties
-Program all new work onto MIS production schedule board to ensure completion scheduled in line with customer requirements
-Review job information to ensure that information being provided to production is complete and accurate, raising any queries with relevant Account Executive.
-Review and adjust operations to maximise efficiencies
-Review schedule and advise potential timings to other staff members
-Work closely with production management
-Issue instructions to warehouse staff
-Monitor stock paper levels, re-ordering to maintain working levels as required
-Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

To be considered for this position you must have experience in a similar position, have excellent working knowledge of windows & Microsoft Office.

Manufacturing Manager / Supervisor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager / Supervisor to work for a local client in Plymouth.

To assist the factory Manager in controlling a busy, sheet fed offset litho and digital print and binding factory, managing staffing levels and workloads, ensuring all orders are dispatched in full, on time and to the required quality and costs.

To assist and cover the Production Scheduler and Factory Manager during holidays.

To continually monitor and evaluate performance with the production areas identifying opportunities for improvement in production performance and work flow.

Key Tasks & Main Duties
- To control work flow and production within the main manufacturing areas with specific attention to finishing and dispatch
-To ensure that all company procedures are correctly followed
-To manage staffing levels, overtime and shift requirements as dictated by work volumes
-To ensure that all operations and staff are working to maximum efficiency and continually evaluate and identify areas where improvements can be achieved
-To support key operators and identify and facilitate ongoing training, maximising opportunities for staff to become multi disciplined
-Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications

You will be direct line management for all production shop floor staff, currently numbering around 40.

The ideal candidate with have previous experience in a print factory.

Class 2 Driver

Class 2 Driver Required

Must have valid licence for at least 2 years. Driving between 2 lorries, 1 is rigid 10 tonne, collecting plastic bulk waste from farms and returning to recycling depot.

Other lorry is 8 wheel Hook Lift Tipper, again, collecting waste from processing plant and deliver to farms.

Areas covered Devon & Cornwall, no overnight, hourly pay is between £9 & £11.
