Senior Systems Engineer

My client has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join their organization in Plymouth to join their organisation in Plymouth.  The role is accountable for the system design of new and existing products.

Responsibilities

  • To execute the requirements solicitation, documenting and decomposition process and to maintain a proprietary network messaging architecture
  • To ensure that it evolves to meet future system requirements
  • To work with market requirements specification and internal stakeholders to arrive at a clear, unambiguous, detailed and achievable requirements definition
  • To assist colleagues in understanding and decomposing the requirements
  • To assist in the validation and verification of systems and products
  • To maintain a proprietary network messaging architecture and ensure that it evolves to meet future system requirements
  • To assist with removing blockers and technical issues that may arise

Performance will be measured on a variety of dimensions for the key accounts including:

  • Timely production of clear, unambiguous, detailed and achievable requirements
  • Timely evolution of the network messaging architecture to meet system requirements
  • Accuracy and completeness of design data with particular emphasis on future maintainability

Required Skills & Experience

  • Prior success in systems engineering

  • Provide 3D and 2D Mechanical Engineering  skills in support of project objectives
  • To develop  the concept, system design and architecture for new products and to ensure the integrity of this design is maintained throughout the product development cycle
  • To contribute to multifunctional projects which include external development partners

My client, one of the UK’s mould Tool Makers toolmakers for high volume, multi-cavity injection moulds and complex CNC machine components is looking for a CNC Miller or Turner. You will preferably have experience with Siemens or Mazak programming and it would be an advantage if you have served an apprenticeship but this is not essential. You will be considered if you are highly computer literate with an understanding of engineering and are good at reading drawings. This position is Monday to Friday and is based in Totnes. 

This company’s milling section works mainly with Hurco machining centres but they also have 2 Mikron machines that are equipped with Heidenhain controls and their turning section is mailing equipped with Siemens controls.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of many, if not all, of the following;
